Why buying direct from origin changes the economics of a shipment
Between the field and a distributor's warehouse in Russia there are usually several links, including the local collector, the export trader, and the re-exporter. Each link adds its own margin and its own idea of quality. We work differently. We buy in the origin regions and ship in full containers directly, so the buyer sees the real landed cost and knows exactly where the goods came from.
Sesame from Chad, natural and unhulled
We buy sesame directly in Chad. It is natural unhulled seed, valued for its high oil content and clean taste. For processors, the confectionery sector, and producers of halva and tahini, this raw material is attractive above all for its consistency from batch to batch.
Let us be honest in how we frame this. For the Russia and CIS market we see this as a new supply channel rather than an established trade lane. Most buyers already have their own sesame suppliers, and our role is to offer a competitive alternative direct from origin. We are ready to start with a trial shipment, agree the specification on moisture, purity, and oil content, and confirm terms before any contract.
Ginger and garlic from Shandong Province
We bring ginger and garlic from Shandong Province, the historic center of production for these crops in China. Both products are air-dried, which gives them long shelf life and makes them resistant to the long logistics route to warehouses in Russia and the CIS.
From the same region we ship fresh red carrots, so distributors who build a mixed vegetable assortment can conveniently consolidate their purchasing at one origin. For each product we publish sizing, packaging requirements, and the HS code.
Hass avocado from Kenya
We source Hass avocado in Kenya. To Russia and the CIS this is a noticeably longer reefer leg than short regional routes, and it is the logistics that determine the quality of the batch.
Here is what we actually do rather than just claim. Pre-cooling before loading, continuous temperature and humidity control in transit with logging, and an optional air-freight route for time-sensitive orders. We confirm transit time for each specific shipment rather than promising a fixed number of days.
Cavendish bananas from Vietnam
We ship Cavendish bananas from Dong Nai Province in Vietnam. Bananas are sensitive to temperature and gas environment, so the transit regime matters more here than for most other products.
We load green bananas with ethylene management and ripening control, so that the fruit reaches the right stage closer to the market rather than over-ripening in transit. As with avocado, we apply pre-cooling and constant monitoring of conditions in the reefer container.
Shipping formats, Incoterms, and documentation
We work in full containers. Fresh produce travels in a 40-foot reefer, and dry goods travel in a 20-foot container. This format is designed for wholesale buyers who purchase by volume rather than by pallet.
We offer FOB, CFR, and CIF terms, so the buyer chooses the degree of our responsibility for freight and insurance depending on their own logistics model. For each product we disclose grading, packaging, HS code, and seasonality in advance.
