Blueberries

The minimum is 2 tonnes by air, which is how most of our blueberries travel. For larger orders we also ship by sea, from one 40ft High Cube reefer container holding about 16-18 metric tons. Both are packed in 125g or 250g clamshells.

We grade blueberries by berry diameter: 12-14mm, 14-18mm and 18mm and over, plus a premium grade of 22mm and over that Yunnan growers add. Larger grades command higher prices and are preferred for retail display in GCC supermarkets. We can supply single-grade or mixed-grade shipments based on your market requirements.

Blueberries are pre-cooled to 0-1°C within 2 hours of harvest using forced-air cooling and kept cold until loading. Most orders fly from Kunming, the capital of Yunnan, and reach Gulf airports in 1 to 2 days. Larger orders can go by sea in reefer containers held at 0-1°C with 90-95% humidity. Breathable clamshells protect the fruit throughout.

No. Our blueberries come from Yunnan, which supplies from November to June, with the peak from February to May. There is no Yunnan fruit from July to October. Contact us for current availability and pricing for your delivery window.

When maintained at 0-2°C with proper humidity (90-95%), our blueberries have 7-10 days of retail shelf life after arrival. For wholesale distribution, we recommend turning inventory within 5-7 days of arrival. Proper cold chain management is critical. Breaks in temperature control significantly reduce shelf life.
