Frequently Asked Questions about Shine Muscat Grape

Shine Muscat commands premium pricing due to its exceptional characteristics: seedless berries, thin edible skin, intense Muscat floral aroma, very high sugar content (18-20° Brix), and firm jelly-like texture. Originally developed in Japan, it's now the most sought-after table grape in Asian and Middle Eastern luxury markets, often called 'The Queen of Grapes.'

Peak export season from Yunnan and Sichuan provinces is June through November. Yunnan's unique climate allows for double-cropping, providing some winter availability (December-February) though at higher prices. For Ramadan or Eid gift seasons, we recommend booking 6-8 weeks in advance to secure allocation.

We offer gift boxes (500g, 750g, 1kg) with premium presentation for retail, standard cartons (5kg) with individual bunch protection for wholesale, and clamshells (400g, 600g) for supermarket display. All packaging uses cushioned netting to prevent berry detachment and pressure damage. Custom branding/private label available for orders of 5+ containers.

Store at -0.5°C to 0°C with 90-95% relative humidity in ventilated packaging. Unlike some grapes, Shine Muscat is ethylene-sensitive, so store it away from ethylene-producing fruits. Properly stored, shelf life is 8-10 days post-arrival. For retail display, grapes can be held at 4-6°C for up to 5 days.

Pricing varies significantly by season, grade, and packaging: Peak season (Aug-Oct) offers the best value, while early and late season commands a 20-40% premium. Berry size grading (A/AA/AAA) affects pricing, and AAA grade with uniform large berries is premium. Gift packaging adds 15-25% versus standard cartons.
