We export two main varieties: Normal White Garlic (most common, pure white skin, mild flavor, 5-6cm diameter) and Purple/Red Stripe Garlic (purple-striped skin, stronger flavor, higher allicin content, preferred for culinary use). Both are sourced from Shandong province, the world's garlic capital, ensuring consistent quality and competitive pricing.

Garlic is graded by bulb diameter: 4.5cm, 5.0cm, 5.5cm, 6.0cm, and 6.5cm+. Larger sizes (5.5cm+) command premium pricing and are preferred for retail display. Smaller sizes (4.5-5.0cm) are economical for food processing and paste manufacturing. We can supply single-grade or mixed containers based on your market requirements.

Standard packaging includes: mesh bags (2.5kg, 10kg, 20kg), small mesh bags (200g, 250g, 500g, 1kg) for retail, cartons (10kg) with loose bulbs, and vacuum-packed options for extended shelf life. Garlic is thoroughly air-dried before packing to ensure firm cloves and dry, papery skin that protects during transport.

Properly air-dried Chinese garlic has exceptional storage life: 6-8 months at room temperature (15-20°C) in a cool, dark, well-ventilated area, or up to 12 months under controlled cold storage (0-2°C, 60-70% humidity). Avoid moisture exposure and do not refrigerate in sealed containers as this promotes sprouting and mold.

A 40ft container holds approximately 26-28 metric tons of garlic (non-refrigerated shipping). Garlic is shipped at ambient temperature or under light ventilation, since refrigerated containers are not required for dried garlic. Transit from Qingdao to GCC ports takes 18-24 days.

All garlic shipments include: Phytosanitary Certificate from China CIQ, Certificate of Origin, fumigation certificate (if required by destination), and commercial invoice with GCC attestation. MRL testing certificates are available upon request. Our garlic meets SFDA and MOCCAE import requirements for GCC markets.
